Why Everything Feels So Exhausting Right Now

Have you ever reached the end of the day and wondered why you're so tired—even though you didn't do anything physically demanding?

You may be experiencing decision fatigue.

From the moment we wake up, we're making decisions. What to wear. What to eat. Which emails need immediate attention. Whether to answer that text. Add in work responsibilities, family obligations, financial concerns, and a constant stream of information from our phones, and our brains rarely get a chance to rest.

When we're mentally overloaded, it's common to notice:

  • Overthinking even small decisions

  • Feeling irritable or emotionally drained

  • Difficulty concentrating

  • Putting off important tasks because they feel overwhelming

The good news is that you don't have to eliminate stress completely. Small changes can make a meaningful difference. Try simplifying routines, limiting unnecessary decisions, taking breaks from social media, and giving yourself permission to do "good enough" instead of striving for perfection.

If you've noticed that worry, overthinking, or mental exhaustion has become your daily norm, therapy can help. Together, we can identify what's fueling the stress, build healthier coping strategies, and help you regain a sense of balance.

Mental exhaustion isn't a sign of weakness—it's often a sign you've been carrying too much for too long.
